Yesterday, AvSuper’s CEO, Michelle Griffiths, and Governance Manager, Amy Ward, had afternoon tea with the Governor-General, Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO, at Government House, Canberra.
The afternoon tea was held to launch this year’s Mothers Day Classic and celebrate the 15th anniversary of this event.
The Mothers Day Classic is a fun run/walk that raises funds and awareness for breast cancer. This annual event was originally created by and continues to be proudly supported by Women in Super (WIS) – of which many AvSuper staff are members.
Michelle is the Chair of the WIS ACT Committee and Amy serves on the Mothers Day Classic Committee.
