AvSuper’s Growth (MySuper) option is a pre-mixed, well-diversified investment option – that means it is invested across multiple asset or investment types. The Growth (MySuper) Option is the default investment option for accumulation members – if you do not make an investment choice, your balance will automatically be invested in the AvSuper Growth (MySuper) option. You can also refer to our Growth (MySuper) dashboard for information.

Investment strategy

The Growth option is designed to cater for defaulted or choice members with a medium to long term investment horizon (five years or more) who are seeking high levels of returns and can tolerate moderate to high levels of volatility in the short term. This option is skewed to produce mostly capital returns rather than income, through exposure mostly to equities and other growth assets, with a lesser exposure to defensive assets.

Investment objectives

To achieve a return, after tax and fees, which exceeds Consumer Price Index (CPI) increases by at least 3.0% pa (for super members) or 3.5% (for income stream members) over rolling ten-year periods.
