October 2019

welcome to your latest member update!

Hopefully by now you are aware that you can switch (at no additional charge) between nine investment options, having your existing and future contributions invested the same way or differently. Our Diversified Index option was introduced last quarter and offers passive market returns to investors with a long investment horizon.
All pre-mixed options have outperformed their CPI linked objectives over the medium to long term periods.
Global and Australian stock-markets have continued an upward trend whilst cash has been carved out as being lower for longer. Emerging markets staged a come back in the September quarter and over the year, bonds have been reasonable with currency going against the AUD with the FX rate AUD/USD at 0.675 as at 30 September 2019.

--- CHANGED JOBS? ---
Did you know that you can stay at AvSuper, even if you change jobs or industry? AvSuper membership is open to all occupations and industries. Just give your new employer our member choice form so they know where to send contributions.
Remember to let us know if your new job puts you in a new occupation class - your insurance can be impacted if we have the wrong class for you.

Whether retirement is weeks away or still a few years off, we can help you make some of those financial decisions.
Our retirement guide will give you a general overview of your options.
An appointment with one of our Member Advice Consultants (financial planners) can then look at YOUR circumstances and what will work for YOU.
