Welcome to our October Member Update.
There has been a lot of activity since our last update in July, and as always we remain very focused on delivering lower fees and competitive returns with a highly personalised level of service.
Welcome Leah!

Investment returns over the 2022 financial year
You are probably aware that 2022 was a volatile year for investment markets and superannuation funds. The video of our webinar on this topic is available here. In this webinar, we discussed the one and ten year results against objectives. We analysed market volatility over the previous months, as well sharing our views on the outlook for the coming months and years.

Your Future Your Super Performance Assessment
It was very satisfying to report that the Growth (MySuper) option was assessed as meeting its benchmark under APRA’s latest performance assessment over the eight years to 30 June 2022. We are grateful to all members who have continued to support AvSuper over the last year. The year was very challenging and as such I would like to acknowledge the dedication and hard work of the entire AvSuper team and our strategic partners for their efforts in supporting you, the members.
Merger update
We are currently finalising the Due Diligence process with Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation (CSC). Once this is complete, we will work with CSC to seek government approval for the merger. We will continue to keep you informed as we work through this process, which is designed to ensure that members best financial interests continue to be maintained.
